Obituary for E. Jane Lambert E. Jane Lambert, 80 of Evansville, passed away Sunday May 6, 2018 at her residence. She was born June 24, 1937 in Vincennes to the late Leo and Mary (Primus) Frey. Jane retired from Sears in Washington Square where she worked for over 20 years.
She is a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church Daylight. She was past president of the Altar Society, a previous member of the choir and a Eucharistic minister. She was also a member of the St. Vincent DePaul, a member of St. Mary’s Hospital auxiliary, Eucharistic minister at St. Mary’s Hospital and volunteered at Ozanam Family Shelter.
She is survived by her husband, Ray Lambert of 63 years; daughter, Mary Ann Schentrup (Mark) of Bloomfield, KY; granddaughter, Lynn Schentrup of Lexington, KY; grandson, Matthew Schentrup of Louisville, KY; great grandchildren, Leilie, Oliver, Vincent and Emalyn Schentrup; sisters, Patricia Lane (John) of Vincennes, IN. , Ruth Myers (Courtney) of Terre Haute, IN; brother, Joseph Frey (Karen) of Farmersburg, IN; sister–in–law, Docia Frey of Vincennes, IN; nieces and nephews. Jane was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Jerome Frey; sister, Linda Frey.
Visitation will be from 2:00 pm -8:00 pm Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at Ziemer Funeral Home East Chapel, 800 S. Hebron, Evansville, IN where a Rosary will begin at 7:00 pm. Visitation will continue Thursday, May 10, 2018 from 9:00 am – 10:00 am at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 5301 Daylight Dr. Evansville, IN 47725. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00 am at the church with Father Chris Forler officiating.
Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
