Earlene A. Bloemker, 83, formerly of Champaign, passed away on the evening of Monday, Feb. 25, 2019, at Venice House Hospice, Venice, Fla. Earlene was born on Oct.

22, 1935, in Champaign, the only daughter of Earl and Jesse ‘Alfie’ (Taylor) Cooper. In 1976 she married Ralph Bloemker in Champaign. Locally, she worked at Americana and Champaign County Employee Credit Union as a bookkeeper until 1988, when she and Ralph moved to Venice, Fla.

After they moved Earlene worked at Basketville in Venice for another 15 years, until her retirement. She is survived by her husband, Ralph of Venice, Fla. , and her three brothers along with their families, the Rev.

Terry and Beverly Cooper of Ludlow, Philip and Jennifer Cooper of Tennessee and Stephen (Jean) Cooper of Paxton. There will be a visitation from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 6, at Owens Funeral Home, 101 N. Elm St., Champaign. The funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev.

Terry Cooper officiating. Burial will immediately follow at Grandview Memorial Gardens, Champaign.
