Eddie Lee Smith Mr. Eddie Lee Smith was born on January 11, 1952, to Johnny G. Smith and Stella Mae McCorvey Smith. Eddie was one of several children born to this union. He was a native of Monroe County, AL.

Eddie enjoyed his family and friends and was educated in the public school system in Monroe County. He met and married Lillian Fay Owens, giving her his last name of Smith. Together, he and Lillian Smith raised four children with love.

In the evening hours of Tuesday, July 17, 2018, Eddie Lee Smith succumbed to his illness and took rest from this earthly world. He transitioned into the Kingdom where he found that sweet Peace with the Lord. He is survived by his wife, Lillian Smith of Pascagoula, Mississippi; three sons, Gregory (Retha) Owens of Beatrice, Alabama, Eddie L. (Lizzie) Smith of Pascagoula, Mississippi, and Torrence (Christie) Smith of Angier, North Carolina; five brothers, John Earl (Irene “Kitty”) Smith of Tunnel Springs, Alabama, Carl (Sandra) Smith and Charlie Smith both of Evergreen, Alabama, David Lee Smith of California, and Donald (Melanie) Smith of Arizona; five sisters, Voncile (Alfred) Robinson of Pascagoula, Mississippi, Ernestine Lett of Pascagoula, Mississippi and Cynthia (Darryl) Smith of Pascagoula, Mississippi, Barbara Smith of Moss Point, Mississippi.

and Helen “Lois” Smith of Peterman, Alabama.
