Obituary for Eddy Gibson Eddy Mae Gibson born to Reverend Owens and Mrs. Augie Terry, July 10, 1916, in Jackson, Mississippi. Eddy was the youngest of two children born to this union. In 1950, she moved to Gary, Indiana with her mother and step-father.

She met James Gibson and was married in 1951, to this union a daughter was born. Eddy departed this life, July 15, 2018 just 5 days after her 102nd birthday at Aperion Care Nursing Home. Eddy worked for Comays Jewelry store and the Gary Hotel for many years, she later became a school crossing guard for the City of Gary in the later part of the 1970s.

She loved to cook and most of all bake and eat good food as she would say. Eddy was a soft spoken, affectionate, and very loving person who loved her family. She loved all holidays especially Christmas and the Fourth of July where she shot off her Roman candles faithfully until she was 99yrs old.

She loved sweet treats, fine jewelry and fashionable clothes. She was preceded in death by her father (Reverend Owens Terry), mother(Augie Larry), brother(Wilburt Terry), and stepfather(Will Larry). She leaves to cherish her loving memories: loving daughter: Jacqueline Vickerstaff, two granddaughters Jacquia(Jermaine) Polk, Ronae Vickerstaff; one grandson Raymone Vickerstaff, four great grandchildren Terryn Polk, Jackson Polk, Lailah Simpson, and Javier Polk.
