Loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather passed away Saturday, January 26, 2019. Age 91 years. The son of the late George and Mary (Krawczyk) Dupuis, Ed was born on September 22, 1927 in Carrollton, Michigan.
Ed served in the U.S. Navy during WW II and was a member of V.F.W. Post #9809. He married Anita Marie (Smiley) Krukowski on May 3, 1952. She predeceased him on November 24, 2017.
Ed was a member of St. John Paul II Parish. He was employed at General Motors for over 30 years until his retirement. Ed enjoyed bowling, walking, riding bikes and sports.
Most of all, he loved spending time with his family and friends. Ed will be remembered for his carefree and realistic approach to life. Surviving are four daughters and one son, Lynn (William) Bennett, Carrollton; Mary Ann Dupuis, Saginaw; Cheryl Dupuis, Chandler, Arizona; Robin Reichard and her fiancé Michael Prall, Birch Run; Michael (Lena) Dupuis, Phoenix, Arizona; special friend, Michelle Dunkerley, Saginaw; six grandchildren, Carrie Bennett, Kelly Duran, Cortney Dupuis, Brandon Reichard, Kyle Dupuis and Ryan Reichard; four great-grandchildren, Kyleigh Bennett, Gabriel Garibay, Alivia Duran, Averie Rose Duran; a brother, Russell (Bum) Dupuis; a sister, Patricia Noah; several nieces and nephews.
Ed was preceded in death by his great-grandson, Konner Mason Bennett, and by his sisters and brothers, Margaret Hopper, Floyd (Pol) Dupuis, Leland (Wart) Dupuis, Elaine Furtaw and Chester (Cha) Dupuis. Ed’s family extends their gratitude and appreciation to the staff of Charter Senior Living for their loving and compassionate care. Funeral Liturgy will take place 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at St. John II Parish, St. Josaphat Catholic Church, 469 Shattuck Rd.

Steven Gavit will officiate. Interment will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery where military honors will be presented by the U.S. Navy.
Friends may visit at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd. (between Shattuck and McCarty), where the family will be present on Tuesday from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and at St. Josaphat Catholic Church on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until time of Mass. The V.F.W. Post #9806 will conduct a memorial service 4:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
A Vigil Service, led by Sister Christine Gretka, CSJ, will take place 7:00 p.m. Tuesday.
