Edward G. Cornell, 61, of Newell Court, Coventry, RI, passed away on Saturday, October 20, 2018 at Hope Hospice & Palliative Care RI, Providence, RI. Born on January 8, 1957 in Warwick, RI, he was the husband of Holly B. (Lawrence) Cornell. They were married for thirty-one years.

He was the son of the late Clarence J. and Patricia A. (Chase) Cornell. Edward was a mechanic for the Town of Coventry for thirty years before retiring in 2017. Besides his wife he is survived by two children; Samantha M. Cornell and Kyle J. Cornell and a sister; Lori A. Palazzo.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, October 26, 2018 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm in the Gorton-Menard Funeral Home & Crematory, 721 Washington Street, Coventry, RI. Burial will be private. For online condolences please visit www.
