Edward H. Atherton Jr. of Grand Ledge, Passed away July 14, 2018, at the age of 81. Edward was born in Lansing, Michigan on July 18, 1936, the son of Edward and Fern (Sweet) Atherton. He retired from maintenance working for Grand Ledge Public Schools.

Edward enjoyed word searches, visiting family and taking trip to Mackinaw. Edward is survived by daughter, Laurie Pool; sisters, Ellenor Newcomer, Mary Dean, Kathy Peterson and Nora Dietrick; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday July 19, 2018, at Peters & Murray Funeral Home, 301 E. Jefferson St., Grand Ledge, MI 48837. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Wacousta Cemetery.
