Ray Allen Blinn Jr., 92, of Grand Ledge, MI, formerly of Glennie, MI, passed away at home on September 17, 2018. He was born September 11, 1926 in Detroit, MI, son of Ray A. and Mary Susan (Oven) Blinn Sr. Ray served in the United States Army during WWII, from Dec. 1944 – Dec.

1948; retired after 26 years as a police officer for the City of Detroit, he then held the duty as the Alcona County Sheriff’s Deputy for 10 1/2 years. He will be greatly missed. He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Margaret, three daughters: Sheila (John) Meier, Beth (David) Howell, Pamela (Joseph) Begovich; grandchildren: Jennie and Paul Meier, Caitlin (Kelly) Bonner, Daniel Gardon (Meg Cannistra), Michael and Rachel Begovich, Michael and Spencer Howell; nieces Judy Palmieri and Marilyn Adler, and former partner and lifelong friend Paul Ivanics. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Betty Tidrow.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, September 24, 2018 at St. Michael Catholic Church, 345 Edwards St., Grand Ledge, with Rev. Father James Eisele as celebrant. Visitation from 10:00 a.m. until service time.
