Bruce “Mitch” McKinley Mitchell, 60 of Grand Ledge, Michigan, passed away Sunday, September 2, 2018 at his home surrounded by family. Mitch was born June 20, 1958 in Flint, Michigan and attended Millington High School. He joined the U.S. Army in 1975.

Shortly after his discharge, he met and married the former Sally Ann Gatica of Flint, MI. Mitch and Sally spent most of their married life in Grand Ledge. Mitch was employed locally for Barton Plumbing as a plumber and enjoyed staying busy… Read More » doing odd jobs for friends and family.

He was an avid carpenter and “Jack-Of-All-Trades” and would never say no to anyone asking for help. Mitch is preceded in death by his mother Maxine (Johnson) McLaughlin, and step-parents Alfred and Bonnie Darter; brothers Gary Dorff, James Trimble, and sister Lori Darter. Mitch is survived by his wife of 36 years, Sally (Gatica), daughter, Shawn Gatica, sons Jason (Lindsey) and Jesse (Jenn); grandchildren: Desiree, Destani, Elijah, Hailey, Taylor, Madisyn, Collin, Jayce, and Jax; his siblings: Sherry Darter, Bruce Trimble, Mary Darter, Lynn (Darter) Nugent, Alfred Nicholas (Nick) Darter, and Joseph Trimble.

A celebration of life is scheduled for next month and details can be found through family members.
