Edward J. Miller, 82, of Grantsville, MD, died, Friday, February 15, 2019, at WV University Hospitals, Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, WV. Born July 8, 1936, in Wayne Co., Ohio, he was the son of the late Joni & Fannie (Miller) Miller. He was preceded in death by a sister, Fannie Hostetler and two brothers, Emmanuel J. Miller & Danny Miller.

Mr. Miller was self-employed in excavation and general hauling. He was a member of Friendship Haven Church, Cumberland, MD and volunteered with the Mennonite Disaster Service and served on the board of Choice Books. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Melda J. (Tice) Miller, whom he married on September 25, 1958; one son, Sonny (Alissa) Miller, Grantsville; three daughters, Karen (Eli) Yoder, Kathryn (Dwayne) Overholt, Kay (Larry) Byler, all of Grantsville; five brothers, Andrew J. Miller, Ohio, Robert H. Miller & Uriah Miller, both of MD, Roy Miller, OK, Ivan J. Miller, PA; three sisters, Elizabeth Peachey, OK, Barbara Nissley & Mattie Kauffman, both of PA; 18 grandchildren, Patrick, Preston, Andrew, Anthony, Amy, David, Amber, Vanessa, Carmen, Marlayna, Kordell, Emma, Zachary, Trevor, Alexander, Brayden, Brody, Haley; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Friends will be received at the Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 179 Miller Street, Grantsville, on Sunday, February 17, 2019, from 2-4 & 6-8 pm. Services will be conducted at Maple Glen Mennonite Church on Monday, February 18, 2019, at 10:30 am with Pastor Tim Yoder, Pastor Ron Stivala & Pastor Ken Tice officiating. Interment will be in the Maple Glen Cemetery.
