Isabelle Florence Terrant, 85, of Oakland, MD, passed away on Wednesday, January 30, 2019, at her home. Born October, 21, 1933, in Kempton, MD, she was the daughter of the late Virgil F. and Ethel D. (Gregory) Miller, Sr She was also preceded in death by her husband, Tony Terrant; one son, Richard A. Terrant; a grandson, Scott A. Chatham; two brothers, Virgil F. Miller, Jr. and Richard Miller; one sister, Clara Shady; one son-in-law, Jimmy D. Hook, Sr. Isabelle worked as a laborer at Bausch & Lomb.

She was an avid reader and enjoyed bowling. She is survived by one son, David W. Terrant and wife, Cindy, Martinsburg, WV; six daughters, Sandra K. Chatham and husband Roger, Montpelier, VA; Cheryl A. Landis and husband, Don, Gormania, WV; Toni L. Nixon and husband, John, Rincon, GA; Pamela J. Hook, Friendsville, MD; Darla S. Custer and husband, Charles, Friendsville; Elizabeth A. Terrant, Oakland; one sister, Martha Paugh, Oakland; six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Friends will be received at Newman Funeral Homes, P.A. 1100 Memorial Dr., Oakland, MD, 21550 on Saturday, from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. Services will be conducted in the funeral home chapel on Sunday, February 3, 2019, at 3:00 p.m., with Pastor Gina Frazee officiating.

At Isabelle’s request, she will be cremated following the service. In lieu of flowers may be directed to the Hospice of Garrett County, P.O. Box 271, Oakland, MD 21550, or the charity of your choice. Condolences may be sent to her family at www.
