Kenneth Ray Cummings, Sr., 67, of Oakland, MD, passed away on Saturday, March 23, 2019, at Mon Health Medical Center, WV. Born July 12, 1951, in Oakland, he was the son of the late Alonzo Daniel and Rosala Maude (Knotts) Cummings. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Allen Cummings; two sisters, Helen Newell and Vira Cummings.

Kenneth was a self-employed construction worker. He loved spending time with his family and playing cards with his grandchildren. Kenneth enjoyed riding four wheelers and his hobby was woodworking.

He is survived by his wife, Terry Lynn (Doss) Cummings; three sons, Kenneth Ray Cummings, Jr. and wife, Amy, Mt. Storm, WV; Daniel Joshua Cummings and wife, Heather, Oakland; David Keith Cummings and wife, Jessica, Oakland; one daughter, Jeanine Lynn Helms and husband, Aaron, Oakland; one brother, Keith Cummings, Oakland; four sisters, Jean Trickett, Oakland; Naomi Holler, Oakland; Vonda Shreve, Oakland; Erma Marshall, NC; six grandchildren, Xander, Gwen, Violet, Darren, Abigail, and Brant. Friends will be received at Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 1100 Memorial Drive, Oakland, MD, 21550 on Wednesday, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Services will be in the funeral home chapel on Thursday, March 28, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend John Walker and Reverend Michael Bernard officiating.

Interment will be in the Rock Ridge Farm Cemetery, Oakland. Expressions of sympathy may be directed to the Southern Garrett County Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 378, Oakland, MD 21550. Condolences may be sent to his family at www.
