Barry Vernon Maust, 76, of Springs, PA, died Monday, May 27, 2019, in Salisbury, PA. Born February 2, 1943, in Springs, he was the son of the late Vernon & Edna (King) Maust. He was preceded in death by his wife, Carol (Parker) Maust and one brother, Wayne Maust.

Mr. Maust was owner/operator of Maust Construction and did construction all his life. He was a member of Shunk Run Hunting Club, Maple Leaf Rod & Gun Club, Meyersdale Moose Lodge #76, Salisbury Sportsmen’s Club and Casselman Valley Sportmen’s Club. Mr. Maust enjoyed hunting, fishing, reloading shells and daily rides to Mount Davis.

His dogs were his companions and he thought the world of them. Surviving are one son, Richard (Wendy) Maust; one daughter, Lori (Jeff) Maust Haines; one step-son, Eric (Amanda) Parker; one step-daughter, Wendy ( Ken) Parker Wolf; one grandson, Brent (Tiffany) Maust; one granddaughter, Carli Haines; three step-grandchildren, Kortni (Jon) Pribelskv, Brooke ( Justin) Sommers, Haile (Jonathon) Hotchkiss; 10 step-grandchildren & special friend, Craig (Sherri) Robinette. Friends will be received at the Newman Funeral Home, Inc., 9168 Mason-Dixon Highway, Salisbury, PA, on Thursday, May 30, 2019, from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm.

Services will follow immediately at 1 pm with Pastor Tom Holliday officiating. Interment will be in the Springs Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be directed to the funeral home to help defray funeral cost.
