Dorothy Jean Sines, 84, of Friendsville, MD, died Thursday, March 14, 2019, at Garrett Regional Medical Center, Oakland, MD. Born May 12, 1934, in Friendsville, she was the daughter of the late, Ransler and Susan (Friend) Nugent. She was also preceded in death by her husband, William Sines, on October 5, 2017; one daughter-in-law, Pamela Sines; one grandson, John Paul Sisler; one brother, Charles Nugent; and one sister, Annabelle Garletts.

Mrs. Sines was a lens inspector for Bausch and Lomb and a member of the Sand Spring Church of God. She is survived by three sons, Kevin Sines, Timothy (companion, Stephanie) Sines and Gregory (companion, Glenda) Sines, all of Friendsville; three daughters, Connie (Paul) Sisler, Reedsville, WV; Diana (Daniel) Redmond, Friendsville; Pamela (Joseph) Galloway, Bruceton Mills, WV; two brothers, Delbert Nugent, FL and Curtis Nugent, Friendsville; 11 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 943 Second Ave.

, Friendsville, on Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted in the funeral home on Monday, March 18, 2019, at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Paul Sisler officiating. Interment will be in the Sand Spring Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.
