Edward Ray Myrex went to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 17, 2019 at age 84. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Martha Myrex; two sons, Kenneth Myrex and Keith (Stacie) Myrex; six grandchildren, Kristen Myrex, Tony Myrex, Shelbie (Matt) Pittman, Cassadie Myrex, Kaleigh Myrex, and Keeton Myrex; six great grandchildren, Braxton Heller, Chloe Heller, Kynzlie Myrex, Braelie Pittman, Adleigh Pittman, and Ryleigh Estes; and other extended family and friends. Ray is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Grafton; twin sister, Faye; and sisters, Doris and Louise.

He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army in Korean War. Visitation will be Wednesday, February 20, 2019 from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. with the funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. at The New Gardendale Funeral Home. Burial will be at Mt.
