He was born in Victoria Cortazar, Guanajuato Mexico to loving parents Francisco Rojas (T) and Guillermina Franco. He spent half of his adulthood in East Chicago, Indiana and the rest in San Antonio, TX.
He was a devoted and caring husband to the love of his life his beautiful wife and loyal companion Maria Cruz Rojas. He was an extremely accomplished carpenter who worked for Joeris General Contractors, LTD for over 15 plus years. Efrain took delight in anything that had to do with nature, spending time with his grandchildren and daughters, having family cookouts, working on carpentry projects, being a handyman to anyone need, attending mass, and he was known by many as a hard worker and remarkable provider to his family.
He enjoyed watching the history channel attentively and listening to soft rock and 1970’s music. He was proud of the opportunity he was given at a young age to come to the United State of America from Mexico. He took that opportunity very serious and became an exceptional productive citizen of his community.
He is preceded in death by his father Franciso Rojas. He is survived by his beloved wife of 36 years, Maria Cruz Rojas. ; daughter Melissa Cash and her husband, Tommy Cash; 2 grandaughters, Audrey Catalina Cash and Zoe Michelle Cash, daughter Sonya Rojas; his mother Guillermina Franco and siblings Maria Leticia Guerra, Mireya Fuentes, Francisco Rojas, Guillermina Rojas, Sandra Quintero and Alejandro Rojas, numerous uncles, aunts, Godchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
Efraín Rojas Franco, de 66 años, de San Antonio, Texas, falleció el sábado 5 de enero de 2019 en su casa rodeado por su querida familia. Nació en Victoria de Cortazar, Guanajuato, México, y sus padres eran Francisco Rojas (T) y Guillermina Franco. Pasó la mitad de su vida adulta en East Chicago, Indiana y el resto en San Antonio, TX.
Fue un esposo muy devoto y cariñoso al amor de su vida, y su leal compañera María Cruz Rojas. Efrain era un carpintero extremadamente habil que trabajó para Joeris General Contractors, LTD durante más de 15 años. Efraín se deleitaba con cualquier cosa que tuviera que ver con la naturaleza, disfrutaba pasar tiempo con sus hijas y nietas hermosas, participar en reuniones familiares, trabajar en proyectos de carpintería, ayudar a personas en necesidad, ir a misa, y todos lo conocían como una persona muy trabajadora y como un buen proveedor para su familia.
Disfrutaba ver el canal de historia y escuchar música del genero de rock y la música de los 70’s. Estaba orgulloso de la oportunidad que se le brindó a una edad temprana para venir a los Estados Unidos de América desde México. Tomó esa oportunidad muy seria y se convirtió en un ciudadano productivo excepcional de su comunidad.
Efrain Rojas Franco fue precedido en la muerte por su padre Francisco Rojas. Le sobreviven su amada esposa de 36 años, María Cruz Rojas . ; su hija Melissa Cash y su esposo, Tommy Cash; 2 nietas, Audrey Catalina Cash y Zoe Michelle Cash, su hija Sonya Rojas; su madre Guillermina Franco y sus hermanos María Leticia Guerra, Mireya Fuentes, Francisco Rojas, Guillermina Rojas, Sandra Quintero y Alejandro Rojas, numerosos tíos, tías, ahijados, sobrinas, sobrinos y amigos”.
Services are as follows: Tuesday – January 8, 2019: Visitation 3-9pm at Texas Funeral Home Chapel, 2702 Castroville Rd. , San Antonio, Texas 78237, with a rosary to be recited at 7pm. Wednesday – January 9, 2019: Visitation 8-9am at Texas Funeral Home Chapel, Departing at 9:15am to Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 7893 Grissom Rd.
, San Antonio, Texas 78251 for a 10am Mass. Graveside services at Resurrection Cemetery at Cordi-Marian, 11624 Culebra Rd. , San Antonio, Texas 78253 following the 10am Mass.
