He is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his brother; Steve Chavarria, sisters; Veronica Chavarria & Crissy Chavarria, sons; Ruben Chavarria, Jonathan Chavarria, Cristian Joel Chavarria, Angel Chavarria, daughter; Denise Chavarria, Luisa Chavarria, Diana Chavarria, Bertha Chavarria, nephews; Noel Ledesma Jr., Steve Chavarria Jr., Fernando Menchaca Jr., Nicolas Ledesma, Noeh Ledesma, Joseph R. Morales Jr., nieces; Faith Joan Menchaca, Brianna Ledesma and Celest Menchaca.

Ruben is dearly loved and will be greatly missed. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 19, 2018 from 2:00-4:00PM at San Antonio Mortuary.
