Eleanor J. Rafeld age 89 of Ashland, passed away at her residence on July 3, 2018. Born in Louisville Ohio on February 19, 1929 the daughter of Harry and Edna (Raul) Rohrer she had been an Ashland resident most of her life where she was a homemaker. She had a strong love for God and her family.

On February 17, 1951 Eleanor was married to George F. Rafeld who preceded her in death on January 28, 2005. Mrs. Rafeld is survived by four daughters, Jane (Scott) Yonally of Lexington Ohio, Jennifer Rafeld of Ashland, April Rafeld of Ashland and Dale Lynn (Marcus) Beebe of Iowa. Also surviving are three sons, Randy (Tammy) Rafeld of Ashland, Philip (Laura) Rafeld of Ashland and Steven (Terri) Rafeld of Ashland.

Eleven Grandchildren, Twenty seven great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren also survive. She is also survived by five sisters, Arlene, Dorothy, Betty, Nova and Grace. In addition to her husband George she is also preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.

Mrs. Rafeld was a member of Grace Brethren Church. Funeral services will be held on Monday July 9, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Grace Brethren Church. Burial will follow the funeral service at the Chestnut Grove Cemetery.
