Obituary for Eleanor Margaret Morris Eleanor Margaret Morris, 93, of rural Lawrenceville, Illinois passed away Thursday, June 28, 2018 at the Lawrence County Memorial Hospital in Lawrenceville, Illinois. She was born April 10, 1925 in Sullivan, Indiana, the daughter of William C. and Julia A. (Bass) Russell. She married Charles F. Morris on March 6, 1943 and he preceded her in death on March 9, 2003.

Eleanor was a homemaker. She was a member of the Pinkstaff United Methodist Church, the Lawrenceville Garden Club, and the Ladies Home Extension. Her hobbies included gardening, baking, canning, sewing, and reading.

She enjoyed her family, especially her grandchildren. Her cat, ‘Mr. Kitty’, kept her company. Preceding her in death her parents; husband, Charles; one brother, Arthur Russell; one sister, Sadie Rose Avery; one grandson, Nate Morris; and one granddaughter, Alaina Morris.

Survivors include one son, Russell ‘Rusty’ Morris and wife, Cyndi, of rural Lawrenceville, Illinois; three daughters, Peggy Morris Morecraft and husband, Bob, of rural Flat Rock, Illinois, Judy Gallion and husband, Jim, of rural Lawrenceville, Illinois, and Jan Brinkman, and husband, Brad, of rural Lawrenceville, Illinois; one sister, Barbara E. Redmond of Mt. Holly Springs, Pennsylvania; six grandchildren, Barbara DeCausey, Josh DeCausey, Annelise Morris, Graham Morris and wife, Olivia, Alex Williams, and Garrett Williams; four great-grandchildren, Jalyn DeCausey, Dane DeCausey, Jude DeCausey, and Joselyn Morris; and one sister-in-law, Margaret Harris of Portage, Indiana. Funeral services will be Sunday, July 1, 2018 at 2:00 PM CST at the Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, Illinois.

Visitation will be Saturday from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM CST at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Portee Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Eleanor’s memory may be made to the Pinkstaff United Methodist Church Building Fund.
