Obituary for Eleanor V. Riber Eleanor V. Riber, 104 passed away peacefully at her home in Fort Pierce on September 2, 2018. Eleanor was born to Fred Joseph and Amelia (Koplitz) Warncke on June 13, 1914 in Duluth, Minnesota. She graduated from Withee High School, in Withee, Wisconsin in 1931.

Eleanor married Carl Henry Riber on March 28, 1936. She started out as a waitress then took a job at Teldyne Post Company after she was married. She was an imprinter on drafting materials like, scales (a three-sided ruler) and plastic triangles.

These were all archetechial materials. She went to work with the intensions of working only six weeks to buy a new dress for her daughter. She worked there for twenty-five years before retiring in 1967.

Eleanor was a charter member of Friends of the Old School and a member of 1st Congregational Church in Owen, WI since 1936. She was a volunteer at the Clark County Health Center. In 2013 Eleanor moved to Florida to live with her son and his wife in Fort Pierce, FL.

She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Eleanor is survived by her son Thomas Carl Riber and his wife Laurie, grandson Michael Niemi, great grandchildren Ryne and Macy Niemi and sister, Kathryn Cross. She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Carl Riber, her daughter Sue Niemi and sisters Marjorie Czeshinski and Marguerite Prill.

Celebration of Life service will be held 11am on Saturday 15, 2018 at Jensen Beach Community Church, Jensen Beach, FL. To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of Eleanor V. Riber please visit our Sympathy Store.
