Elgie L. Ring, 86, passed away Monday, January 14, 2019, at the Ashtabula County Nursing Home. She was born September 3, 1932 in Conneaut, Ohio, the daughter of Wendell and Clara (Stanford) Ring. Elgie worked for National City Bank in Cleveland before transferring to the former US Bank in Kingsville.

She enjoyed playing the piano and organ, often times you could find her filling in for different churches in Conneaut on Sunday’s playing the piano or organ. Elgie was a member of the Red Hats. Survivors include her step sister, Karen (Ed) Krizan; cousins, Jack (Susan) Hogle who helped take care of her, and numerous other cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Step father, George E. Hale and step siblings, George R. Hale and Joan Gealy. Funeral will be 11:00AM Tuesday January 22, 2019 at the Marcy Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 208 Liberty St., Conneaut, Rev. with Jan Walsh officiating.

The family will receive friends from 10:00AM until time of service on Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Glenwood Cemetery. Contributions may be made to Hospice of the Western Reserve.

Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
