She was born October 8, 1916 in Alice to the late Desiderio and Juanita Portilla Ruiz. Alice married Leo C. Trevino Sr. on October 30, 1938 in Cuero.

She was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, the VFW Ladies Auxiliary, the Guadalupanas Society, the Catholic Daughters, and the church choir. She was also a catechism teacher and enjoyed volunteering. Alice loved spending time in her flower beds, creating arts and crafts, sewing, and crocheting.

She is survived by her daughter Connie Trevino of Katy and son, Leo R. Trevino of Austin; grandson, Leo Trevino III of Cuero; granddaughter, Angie Miracle of Austin; great-granddaughter, Olivia Dyer of Austin; and great-great-grandson, Jace Shaw of Austin. She was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved husband. Visitation will be Friday, January 11, 2019 from 5 to 7 pm at Freund Funeral Home with the rosary beginning at 6:30 pm.

Funeral Mass will be Saturday, January 12, 2019, 10 a.m., at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Father Jasper Liggio officiating. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of Guadalupe or Hospice of South Texas Dornburg Center of Compassion.
