Elisha Aaron Hamblen II “PeeWee”, 69, of Terre Haute, Indiana, passed away May 23, 2019. He was born on July 5, 1949, in Terre Haute, Indiana, to Fred Hamblen and Hazel (McLendon) Hamblen. PeeWee retired from the Terre “Haute City Fire Department after 25 years of service.

He also worked as a Mailer with the Tribune Star. He was an avid hunter and outdoorsman. He attended the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints growing up.

PeeWee loved his family dearly. He is survived by his wife of 51 and a half years Linda (Stott) Hamblen; children Melissa Dingess (David), Christie Hamblen, Fred Hamblen (Angie), and Eddie Hamblen (Jodie); grandchildren Shelbie Schneider, Jaron Hamblen, Jennifer Schneider, Caleb Hamblen, Logan Dingess, Connor Hamblen, Olivia Hamblen, and Madison “Mad-Dog” Dingess; and brother David Hamblen. He was proceeded in death by his parents, and siblings Alferd Hamblen, Joseph Hamblen, and Martha Hamblen.

Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, May 25, 2019, at 1:00p.m. in Greiner Funeral Home, 2005 North 13th Street, Terre Haute, Indiana, 47804. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Saturday, from 11:00a.m. until service time. Pastor Rick Swan will officiate.
