Flora Bell Evans, 72, of Terre Haute, passed away May 19, 2019 in Indianapolis. She was born February 10, 1947 in West Terre Haute to Harold Hogue and Ruby White Hogue. She was the clerk treasurer for West Terre Haute for 4 years.

She was a member of the VFW ladies auxiliary. She was a great cook and loved cooking fried chicken and Italian beef. She and her husband were snow birds and traveled to Florida 6 months out of the year.

She also enjoyed camping, especially Mill Creek and Brown County. She is preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Johnny Hogue, and grandsons, Devin Thompson and Brent Foltz. She is survived by her husband, Gilbert Almond Evans (m.

41 years), sons, Mark Thompson (Rhonda), Rick Thompson (Jeannie), Harold Evans, stepchildren, Terry Evans (Deana), Christina Williams (Jack), and Lisa Foltz (Wayne), brothers; Joe Hogue, Jimmy Hogue, and Dennis Hogue, grandchildren, Gunner Thompson, Ann Williams, John Williams, and Lana Pasko, and great grandchildren, Gaige Williams, and Niki Pasko. Also surviving are Flora’s special friends, Darlene Boyce, Barbara Jones, Karen Lemay and Mabel Lane. Flora’s wishes were to be cremated with no service.
