Elizabeth’s Obituary Elizabeth A. Magray, 92, Green Bay, passed away Thursday, December 20, 2018. She was born on October 11, 1926, in West Allis, WI to August and Mary (Mepesauer) Visauer. Elizabeth married Frederick H. Magray on October 29, 1949.

She worked in housekeeping at the Bay Motel and later was employed by Brown County in the Nutritional Program – Commodities. She worked for several years in the concession stands at Lambeau Field for the Green Bay Packers. Elizabeth was a member of Seventh-Day Adventist Church.

She volunteered at numerous centers including Green Bay Volunteer Center, Paul’s Pantry, Bellin Hospice, and the community service center through her church. Elizabeth enjoyed crafting notes and cards, and quilting. Elizabeth was also involved for many years in the prison ministry.

She spent five years as a board member for the Brown County Homeless and Housing Coalition. She is survived by her children, Cheryl (Sheridan) Johnson, Douglas (Sandra) Magray, Maureen (Gary) Hixon, Christine Magray, Michelle (Dale Jones) Nooyen, and Denise Groh; daughter-in-law, Nady Sorenson; stepson, Marvin Magray; stepdaughter, Vyone Nelson; stepson-in-law, Glen Bernau; 17 grandchildren: Anthony (Jennifer) Sorenson, Andrew (Jenny) Sorenson, Angela Sorenson, Timothy (Holly) Ladwig, Tarina (Chuck) Luecke, Trenton (Missy) Ladwig, Shelly (Todd) Silverstein, Sherry (Heath) Pierce, Bradley (Samantha) Hixon, Joseph (Christine) Hixon, Patrick (Anne) Laurent, Danyel (Jerry) Edinger, Tenille (Craig) Raatz, Dezaray Colyer, Jeffrey Nooyen, Claire (John) Barker, Barry (Tamara) Burich; 28 great-grandchildren; brother, Robert Visauer; sister-in-law, Rachel Kaiser; and many other family and friends. Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband, Frederick; her parents; a son, Roger Sorenson; grandson, Eric Laurent; four sisters, one brother and many other family and friends.

PLEASE NOTE TIME CHANGE Visitation will be held at Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 1414 Shawano Ave. , from 1-3:00 p.m. Thursday, December 27; followed by the Funeral Service at 3:00 p.m. with Pastor William Ochs officiating. Blaney Funeral Home is assisting the family.
