Elizabeth Fornkahl, 88, of Franklin Park, Illinois, formerly of Cape Girardeau, passed away Sunday, February 3, 2019 at Presence Villa Scalabrini Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Northlake, Illinois. She was born March 18, 1930 to Rudolph and Agnes (Moonier) Kiefer. Elizabeth was a quality control inspector for Motorola.

She and Victor Fornkahl were married 11 years. He preceded her in death. Survivors include sons, James Fornkahl of Addison, Illinois, John Fornkahl of Elk Grove Village, Illinois; daughter, Vickie Fornkahl of Franklin Park; brother, Ivan Kiefer of Strafford Connecticut.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; brother, Joseph; sisters, Marie, Gertrude and Alice. Visitation will be Friday, February 8, 2019 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel.

A graveside service will be Saturday, February 9, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel at St. Mary’s Cemetery with Fr. Alexander Nwagwu officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to the American Cancer Society.
