Gary Wayne Popp, 58, of Cape Girardeau, Missouri died Tuesday, March 19, 2019 at his home. He was born November 24, 1960 in Arcadia, California to Edward “Ebby” and Retha Whitaker Popp. He and Patti Popp were married April 11, 2009 at Cape Girardeau.

He was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles #3775. He was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Chapel, where he was baptized and confirmed. Survivors include his wife, Patti Popp of Cape Girardeau; mother, Retha Popp of Cape Girardeau; three daughters, Kirsten (Andrew) Mott of Cape Girardeau, Cassandra (Brandon) Kuehn of Cape Girardeau and Maria (Brendan) Adams of Cape Girardeau; two brothers, David Popp of Cape Girardeau and Roger Popp of Fruitland, Missouri; two sisters, Roxanna (Stan) Weber of Altenburg, Missouri and Diane Parrish of Cape Girardeau, Missouri; two grandchildren, Brantley Mott and Evelyn Kuehn.

He was preceded in death by his father and son, Eric Charles Popp. Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, March 22, 2019 at Ford & Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel in Cape Girardeau, with an Eagle’s service at 7:00 pm.

Funeral service will be at 10:00 am Saturday, March 23, 2019 at Ford & Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel in Cape Girardeau with the Revs. Wavis Jordan and Larbo Eyler officiating.

Entombment will be at Cape County Memorial Park Mausoleum in Cape Girardeau. Memorial contributions may be given to Cancer Research Institute. Online condolences may be made at www.
