Louise Ostendorf Alderman, 76, of Scott City, Missouri died Wednesday, March 20, 2019 at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau. She was born April 22, 1942 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri to August and Lucinda Stock Ostendorf. She and Daniel Kenneth Alderman were married October 26, 1974 at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Kelso, Missouri.

He survives at Missouri Veterans Home in Cape Girardeau. Louise graduated from College High School in 1960. She worked at St. Francis Hospital in Food Service Management.

She later worked part time for J.T. Hill Insurance. She was a member of St. Augustine Ladies Sodality and St. Francis Hospital Auxiliary. Louise loved to bake for her neighbors and was an avid gardener and crafter.

She was devoted to her husband and they loved to go to auctions and flea markets. Survivors include her two sisters, Evelyn Kluesner of Oran and Ruth (Leon) Schlosser of Scott City; one brother, Paul (Rose) Ostendorf of Cape Girardeau; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother-in-law, Eugene Kluesner.

Visitation will be held 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm Friday, March 22, 2019 at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Kelso, Missouri, with parish prayers at 7:00 pm. Funeral mass will be 10:00 am Saturday, March 23, 2019 at the church with the Rev. Michael Casteel officiating.

Entombment will be at Cape County Memorial Park Mausoleum in Cape Girardeau. Memorial contributions may be given to Pancreatic Cancer Foundation, St. Augustine Catholic Church or Southeast Hospice.
