Obituary for Elizabeth Higginbotham Phelps Elizabeth Anne Higginbotham Phelps, 69, of Spartanburg, SC, died Friday, September 14, 2018 at her home. Born March 13, 1949 in Portsmouth, VA, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Anne Shehan Higginbotham. She was the widow of Ted Milton Phelps.

Elizabeth was retired as a legal secretary. She attended Fairview Free Will Baptist Church. Survivors include a son, T. J. Phelps of the home; daughters, Stephanie Phelps of Myrtle Beach, SC and Alisa Phelps of Spartanburg, SC; seven grandchildren; a brother, Charles Higginbotham of Chesapeake, VA; and best friends, Sandra Phelps and Patricia Thomason of Spartanburg, SC.

She was also predeceased by a sister, Sarah Higginbotham. A graveside service will be 1:00 PM Saturday, September 22, 2018 at Sunset Memorial Park, 1955 Cannons Campground Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307, conducted by The Rev. Tim Hackett.

Visitation will follow the service at the graveside. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Fairview Free Will Baptist Church, 2058 Chesnee Highway, Spartanburg, SC 29303 or to Spartanburg Regional Home Care and Hospice, P.O.
