Elizabeth (Liz) York 89 passed away on October 6, 2018 at Stonebrooke Rehabilitation Center in New Castle, Indiana. Liz was born January 5, 1929 to the late Jack and Pearl (Nichols) Bruton of New Lisbon, Indiana. Lia graduated from New Castle High School with the class of 1946.

Liz was a member of First Baptist Church. She worked in retail, insurance, Red Cross and was an LPN where she worked at Henry Community Health, rush Memorial Hospital and sat with patients in their homes and nursing… Read More » facilities. Her love on earth was her home and working in her yard.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Margaret Bruton, daughter-in law, Linda York, brother-in-law Bob Greenwell, brother and sister who died at birth. Liz is survived by her children, Steve (Susie Ireland) of New Castle, Cheryl (Jack)Gideon of Moreland, Karen( Steve) Chlafant of Mt. Summmit and Jeff York of Ft.

Wayne, her sister Linda Greenwell of Greenfield, grandchildren: Stephanie (Scott) Conque of Jackson, TN, Angela Larrimore of Jasper, IN Daniel Larrimore of Ft. Worth, TX, Ryan (Michelle) Larrimore of Salem, IN, James Grant of New Castle, IN, Larry (Amy) Grant of Lapel, IN, Karole (Dennis) Trump of Bedford, IN, Christofer (Kristi) Chalfant of Georgia, Mathew (Carrie) York of Indianapolis, IN, Erika York of Ft. Wayne, IN; step-grandchildren, Angela (Bill) Moore of New Castle, Jack Gideon III of Michigan, Jason Gideon of Michigan and Dana (Chris) Alexander of Valporiso; nine great grandchildren, five great great grandchildren, six step great grandchildren, and six step great great grandchildren.
