Elizabeth Rae Benton, 80, of Concord, passed away Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at her home. Mrs. Benton was born September 8, 1938 in Cabarrus County. A daughter of the late Rev.

Lonzo S. Turner and Bertha B Turner. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her sister Joyce T. Talley of Concord, NC; a brother James E. Turner of Kings Mountain, NC; a brother Enoch “Pete” Turner of Concord, NC. She grew up in Concord and attended Concord High School.

She was a member of Poplar Grove Baptist Church in Concord, NC. She graduated from the Kannapolis Beauty College in 1973. She was self employed, Beautician and hada shop in her home.

She retired in 2005, and spent her retired years doing all kinds of crafts; Floral work, and making seasonal wreaths for her friends and the public. She also prepared floral arrangementd for the church and weddings, She also enjoyed Elvis music and impersonators, and the beach A graveside service will be held on Sunday, October 28, 2018 at 3:00 pm, located at Carolina Memorial Park Kannapolis, officiated by Rev. Jimmy Barrett.

Survivors include: husband, Jimmy L Benton of Concord, NC, and sister Mildred T. Lamb of Kannapolis, NC. Memorials may be made to Poplar Grove Baptist Church, 3476 Poplar Tent Rd, Concord, NC. 28027.
