It is with great sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of Nicholas Reese Masters, 19 years old, on October 18, 2018. He was born in Concord, NC and attended Jay M Robinson High School, graduating the spring of 2017. He played Lacrosse and wrestled in junior high school and went on to wrestle and run with the cross country team in high school.

He was very patriotic and participated in the JROTC program and had often considered joining the US military. Following graduation, he completed a year of training as a plumber’s assistant and recently began working for Amazon, as a warehouse associate. He had a passion for adventure and the outdoors.

He frequently could be found hunting, fishing or working out at the gym. He competed in the Warrior Dash and Spartan races. He believed in strength and loyalty and loved family and friends with no bounds.

Nick, as he preferred to be called, was full of life, love, charm and antics. Often the class clown, his sense of humor was endless. He brought smiles to many faces and made friends wherever he went.

He touched many lives in his short time with us here. We pray that God and his grandparents, will watch over him on this next step of his journey. He is preceded by his grandparents James and Grace Bene, Samuel and Mary Jane Masters and his loyal companion, Bones.

The family will receive friends from 6pm-8pm on Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord. The funeral service will be on Thursday, October 25, 2018 at 11am at the Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Cabarrus Memorial Gardens.
