Elizabeth V. Osborn, 82, of Burlington, died at 8:06 AM Wednesday, July 11, 2018, at her home. Born February 19, 1936, in , Mississippi, she was the daughter of Woodrow and Nettie Sue Dodson Hutchsen. On March 29, 1952, she married Otha L. Osborn in Avory, MS.

He later passed on October 18, 2016. Elizabeth worked as a housekeeper for the hospital. She enjoyed fishing, watching fireworks shows and football, especially the Packers.

She loved to volunteer at church and spend time with her grandkids and great-grandkids. She was a very good listener and passed on a lot of wisdom to the younger generations. Survivors include four sons, Eric B. (Angela) Ausborn of Des Moines; Randy D. Osborn of Killeen, TX; Marty A. Osborn of HI; and Freddie L. Osborn of Burlington; four daughters, Otha Jean Reed Killens of Burlington; Renna Ausborn of Iowa City; Nadeen Ausborn of Quincy, IL; and Nettie Sue Osborn of Iowa City; 10 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband. Family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM Friday, July 13, 2018 at Prugh~Thielen Funeral Home. The funeral service for Mrs. Osborn will be 2:00 PM Friday, July 13, 2018, at Prugh~Thielen Funeral Home with Joe Arellano officiating.

Burial will be in Burlington Memorial Park Cemetery. A time of food and fellowship will be held in the community room at the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Burlington. A memorial has been established.
