Dateline – Clinton Ella Havard Swayngham, age 61, of 413 North Broad Street, passed away Friday, May 17, 2019, at Self Regional Medical Center in Greenwood. Mrs. Swayngham was born in Lucedale, MS, and was a daughter of Marie Havard and the late Ernest Havard. She was a devoted and caring grandmother who loved and cherished her grandchildren.

She was an affectionate woman who was caring and loved people. In addition to her mother, Mrs. Swayngham is survived by her husband, Dennis Swayngham of the home; her son, Jeremy Swayngham (Christina) of Joanna; her daughter, Monica Cogsdill (Mark) of Laurens; her brother, John Havard; her sister, Rita Willoughby; and four grandchildren, Liam Swayngham, Nora Swayngham, Steven Swayngham and Anna Cosgdill. She was predeceased by a brother, Jerry Havard.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 20, 2019, at Holly Grove Baptist Church at 2 PM, followed with burial at the Holly Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1 to 2 PM at the church. The family will be at the home of Marie Havard located at 520 Fleming Street, Laurens, SC 29360.
