Michael’s Obituary STOCKMAN, Michael Joseph – of Lapeer, formerly of Davison, age 72, was called home to Heaven on May 15, 2019 at Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak, after a brave battle with heart disease. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 2:30 PM Monday, May 20, 2019 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 404 N. Dayton St., Davison; Rev. Fr.

Andrew A. Czajkowski celebrant. Burial will be in St. John Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM Sunday at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd.

, Davison. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the service on Monday. Sincere appreciation to the ICU Staff, Beaumont Hospital.

Michael was born in Flint, MI on March 27, 1947, son of Joseph and Shirley (Thurston) Stockman. Michael graduated from Davison High School in 1965. He married Brenda Staley in 1966.

Michael served in the US Army 1966-1968, including Korea. He retired from GM Chevrolet Motors Downtown Flint, where he was a fork truck driver and a skilled trade carpenter. Michael also worked his real love of farming since the first day he could walk until the last.

He was active on the Elba Township Board and 4H Davison. Michael leaves to cherish his memory, mother, Shirley Stockman, age 93; son, Paul Jonathon Stockman of Royal Oak; daughter, Bethany Michelle Wright of Otisville; grandchildren, Jay Michael (fiancé, Whitney) Stockman, Angelena (Tyler) Cheney, and Jayden Zinn; great-grandchildren, Nevaeha Rain Stockman, Haleigh Jay Stockman, Jaykob Cheney, and Scarlett Grace Cheney expected in June; brothers, William (Alice) Stockman, David Stockman and John Stockman, all of Lapeer; mother of his children and lifetime friend, Brenda Stockman; cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his beloved father, Joseph Michael Stockman.
