Ellen Williams Walsh November 23, 1954 – February 03, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers View/Sign Guest Book| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card FLORENCE – Ellen Gwendolyn Williams Walsh, 64, died Sunday, February 3, 2019, after a courageous battle with cancer. Ellen was born in Florence, the daughter of the late Ellen Gwendolyn Sessions Williams and Paul Prichett Williams, Jr She was educated in the Florence public schools and graduated from Francis Marion College.

She was a dedicated wife, mother, and homemaker. She was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church and the Upper Room Sunday School class. Ellen was intentional about living life to the fullest.

She gave generously to her family, friends and neighbors of her talents, time, and especially her love. She enjoyed adults and children alike to visit her burro, Dolly, and her goats. Ellen never met a stranger and once you encountered her smile and unique sense of humor, you were never the same.

Survivors include her husband, Eugene P. Walsh, Jr., of the home; a daughter, Harriett King Walsh of Dallas, TX; a son, Quinton Eugene Walsh of Charlotte, NC; a step-daughter, Mary Alice Faulkenberry (Michael) of Florence; three grandchildren, Lilah Ann Walsh, Mary Katherine Faulkenberry, and William Faulkenberry; and other friends and family left to cherish her memory. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, February 7, 2019, at St. Paul United Methodist Church with burial follow in Mount Hope Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, at Waters-Powell Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Paul United Methodist Church, P. O. Box 5446, Florence, SC 29502.
