Elmida Clavette, 99, of Saco died on Thursday, May 17, 2018 at Seal Rock in Saco. She was born on July 2, 1918 to Paul and Flavie (Pelletier) King in Caswell. She was educated in Caswell schools.

On July 26, 1945, she married Gerard Clavette in Hamlin. They spent 46 years together until his death on February 14, 1992. She had worked as a housekeeper at Notre Dame Hospital.

She enjoyed cooking and entertaining friends and family. She loved to knit and to spend time with her great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by a daughter, Loraine Clavette; and 8 siblings, Edmund King, Elie King, Eddie King, Leo King, Simon King, Eva Sirois, Lena Devue, and Laura Labrecque.

Elmida is survived by: 1 daughter: Irene Ganong and her husband Richard of Arundel 1 granddaughter: Rebekah Roy of N. Waterboro 5 great grandchildren: Bailey, Samuel, Abraham, Ethan, and Eli Several nieces and nephews Visiting Hours will 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Monday, May 21, 2018 at Hope Memorial Chapel, 480 Elm Street, Biddeford, ME 04005. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Tuesday at St. Joseph Church in Biddeford. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery in Biddeford.
