Elnora Rogers Crosby of Seminary, Mississippi April 11, 1929 – February 9, 2019 Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 12, 2019 at the Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins for Elnora Rogers Crosby, 89 of Seminary, who passed away on Saturday, February 9, 2019 at her residence. Reverend Melissa R. Crawford and Reverend Glenn Shoemake will officiate at the services with interment to follow in the Crosby Cemetery in Seminary. Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Monday, February 11, 2019 at the Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins. Pallbearers will be William A. Crosby, James Aaron Egbert, Jeffery Crosby, Ronny Smith, Jr., Dale Gingrich, and Chris Gingrich. Honorary pallbearers will be Trenton Crosby, Melvin Crosby, and Danny Coleman.

Mrs. Crosby was born on April 11, 1929 in the Rock Hill community of Mount Olive, Mississippi. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker. During her working career, she worked at Northern Electric Company (NECO) for eleven years and Sanderson Farms for ten years before her retirement.

Mrs. Crosby was a member of the Sanford Missionary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clifton Rogers and Lavada Brewer Rogers Byrd; her husband, Melvin Virgil Crosby, Jr.; two sons, Virgil Ray Crosby and Norman Glenn Crosby; a granddaughter, Jamie Lynn Gingrich; and a brother, Clifton Rogers. Survivors include her eight children, Reverend Melissa R. Crawford of Union, Jo Ellen Egbert of Collins, Melvin H. Crosby (Marsha) of Chesapeake, Virginia, James Trenton Crosby (Laura) of Seminary, Phyllis Elsie Williamson (Jimmy) of Seminary, Nora Lynn Gingrich (Dale) of Collins, Rebecca C. Smith (Ronny) of Seminary, and William A. Crosby of Seminary; twelve grandchildren; twenty five great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members Family and friends may sign an online guestbook at www.
