Obituary for Elton Eugene Polk Elton Eugene Polk passed away peacefully early Sunday morning, June 24, 2018 at his home. He was born to Alton Polk Jr. and Mamie Polk on January 16, 1942 in Gulfport, MS. He came to Gary in the early 1960’s to pursue a career at U.S Steel Gary Works.

Mr. Polk was an avid fisherman who loved God, his family and his friends very deeply he also was a member of the Muscle Man Club. He is preceded in death by his mother and father, eight brothers and six sisters. He leaves to cherish his legacy his loving and devoted wife; Betty Polk, his loving children Sheree (Eric) Polk- Evans, Monique Polk, Christopher Polk, Victure (Niya) Wynn, his loving grandchildren Nicolas, Ethan, Derrick and Deaire, four brothers and three sisters along with a host nieces, nephews, family and friends.
