Irma Obdulia Colón, 47, of St. Charles, MO, formerly of East Chicago, IN, passed away June 17, 2018. She was born February 16, 1971 in East Chicago, IN to Gilbert and Elsa (Velez) Andino. Irma leaves to cherish her memories her husband of 17 years, together for 33 years, Jose Colón; children, Jacinda (Rasmus) Nielsen and Jessica Colon; grandchild, Johannes Jose Nielsen; sisters, Elizabeth “Bea” (Victor) Acevedo and Michelle “Mica” (Aaron) Woods; brother, Gilberto “Pops” Andino; other relatives and dear friends.

Preceded in death by her parents, Gilbert and Elsa Andino; grandfathers, Santiago Velez and Hipolito Polo Andino and mother-in-law, Carmen Colon. Irma will be remembered as a soft-hearted, loving individual who had a contagious laugh. The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 24, 2018 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Ridgelawn Funeral Home, 4201 West Ridge Road, Gary, IN 46408 – 219 980-5555.

Funeral Services will be Monday, June 25, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. with Alicia Cruz officiating in the Main Chapel at the funeral home . Irma will be dearly missed by her loving family and dear friends. May God Grant Her Eternal Rest.
