OBITUARY Elwin Glynn Hooper August 25, 1931 – September 29, 2018 A Memorial service to honor Elwin Glynn Hooper will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, October 20, 2018 at Kingston Road Baptist Church, 8900 Kingston Road, Shreveport, LA. Glynn was born August 25, 1931 in Joaquin, Texas and was called to his Heavenly Home on September 29, 2018. Glynn loved and was dedicated to his family.

Throughout his life he lived and taught us the importance of being there for each other. He was a thoughtful and giving person who cared for others and helped those in need. He was a good friend.

Glynn celebrated life by enjoying the outdoors, music, catching and frying fish, and spending time with friends and family. He was a veteran, serving in the US Navy and was employed at South Central Bell for 33 years. Glynn was a follower of Christ.

His love for all grew out of God’s love for him and his love for God. Mr. Hooper was preceded in death by his wife, Nell Hooper, parents, John and Nora Hooper, brothers, Forrest, Marvin, T-Wood, Leon, John R. and Buddy Hooper, sisters, Ruth Grayson, Grace Snider, Louella Hutto, Cleo Coe, and Ora Yates. Left to cherish his memories are his daughter, Glynda Wood (Joe), son, Larry Hooper (Cookie), grandchildren, Brad Reeves, Allison Kain (Jay), Kara Burch (Josh), Kaley Sanders (Colton), great-grandchildren, Madison and Mackenzie Reeves, Knox Burch, Caroline, Sawyer, and Madden Clarie Sanders, and many other extended family and friends.

In Lieu of flowers the family request memorials be made to the charity of choice.
