OBITUARY Michael F. “Buddy” Compton October 16, 1940 – October 16, 2018 Michael F. “Buddy” Compton, age 78, passed away on Tuesday October 16, 2018 at his home in Bossier City surrounded by his loved ones . Mike was born October 16, 1940 in Forbing, Louisiana to William Curtis Ayers and Sersece Luna Moody. Left to cherish his memory are son, Jon Michael Compton and wife Allison of Bossier City; two brothers, Jerry Compton of Stonewall and Bill Compton of Shreveport.

He his preceded in death by his wife, Johnnie Dring Compton. Mike served his country in the United States Navy for many years before his work as a labor worker at Red Ball Motor Freight, where he later retired. He loved riding his motorcycle with his friends and loved any kind of sport, especially softball, coaching for many years in Shreveport.

A visitation for Buddy will be held Saturday, October 20, 2018 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home. A celebration of life will occur Sunday, October 21, 2018 at 2:00 PM with an interment service with military honors will follow in Centuries Memorial Park. Bro.

Charlie Mahon will be officiating the services. Serving as pallbearers are Darren Warren, Don Warren, Bobby Procell, John Compton, Neal McMahon, Mike Compton, Vaughn Jordan, Jody Gray and Bubba Johnson.
