Obituary for Elwyn Roger Faulkenberry Jr. Print Elwyn “Roger” Faulkenberry, Jr., 83, of Rock Hill, passed away Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at home. He was born January 11, 1936 in Rock Hill, SC, son of the late Elwyn Roger Faulkenberry, Sr. and Martha Sturgis Faulkenberry. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 52 years, Julia Emily “Judy” Faulkenberry and brother, William P. Faulkenberry, Sr. Roger proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War.

He was a proud Mason, Shriner and member of the CB Club. He enjoyed square dancing with his late wife and watching Western movies. An incredible cook, Roger often prepared meals for Shriner functions and church events.

He leaves to cherish his memory his daughter, Bobbie V. Thomas and husband, Buddy of Rock Hill; son, Pastor Arthur D. Vick, Jr. and wife, Margaret of Andrews; grandchildren, Stephanie Outlaw and husband, Darrell, Terri Davis and husband, Chris, Jon Gaulden, Leanne Wilson, Michael Wilson and Jason Dill; a number of great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; and nephews, Billy Faulkenberry and wife, Angel and Chris Faulkenberry and wife, Christy. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM, Sunday, January 27, 2019 at Bass-Cauthen Funeral Home. A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, January 28, 2019 at Laurelwood Cemetery with Masonic Rites.
