Emily J Kelby, age 88 of North Canton passed away on December 23, 2018. She was born in Denver, Colorado to the late Harold and Reinna (Foster) Holmes. Emily was a graduate of Washington High School, where she was a Majorette.

She married Ronald Kelby on March 27, 1949 and they shared 42 years together until his passing in 1991. Emily taught piano for many years until her retirement. She was a member of the Lake Cable Garden Club.

Emily was also an avid tennis player, a casual golfer and enjoyed playing Euchre. She leaves to cherish her memory her children Michael Kelby, Susan (Dwight) Weaver and Cindy (Mike) Kelby McKee; her grandchildren Aaron, Cyrilla (Pat), Jessica (Dustin), David (Heather), Autumn (Patrick), Joey, and Jonnie (Ryan); She was “GG” to 9 great-grandchildren; her sister Reinna Cole and a host of family and friends. A Celebration of her life will be held on Friday, December 28, 2018 at 1p.m. at the Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon.

The family will receive friends from 11a.m. until the time of the service. Interment at Northlawn Cemetery. The family would like to thank the staff at Sanctuary Grande for Emily’s exceptional care during her stay.
