Obituary for Emma Jo Barger Print Emma Jo Barger, 83, of Battle Creek, Michigan, passed away on Saturday, January 26, 2019 at Glenn Arbor Hospice. She was born on February 27, 1935, the daughter of the late Farmer Vise and Effie (Boyd) Vise. She was a member of Dexter Lake Church of God.

She worked at Kellogg for over 20 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Barger; parents; daughter, Wanda (Barger) Dunn, sisters, Verna Norton and Jean Lantrip; brothers, Foster Vise, Pete Vise, Buddy Vise and Johnny Vise. She is survived by her two sons, Tony Barger and John Vice; two brothers, Morris Vice and Jimmy Vise; 9 grandchildren: Cynthia, Jacob, Joel, Seth, Rachel, Michael, Logan, Mathew and Michael; 12 great grandchildren; countless nieces, nephews and “adopted” grandchildren.

Emma was extremely devoted to her children and grandchildren. A tireless worker both in her career and at home, she was a great cook with a great sense of humor. She was a foster parent and the door was always open at her home.
