Obituary for Eric M. Steinmark Eric Steinmark, 46 Kearney resident Eric Steinmark, of Kearney died Monday, July 16, 2018, at his home. Eric was born on December 14, 1971, in Kearney, Nebraska, to Gary and Ginger (Cash) Steinmark. He was a lifelong area resident and attended Kearney High School.

Eric and his dad owned and operated G&S Auto. On July 19, 1991, Eric’s son, Drew Danielson, was born. In 2005, Eric was united in marriage to Amy Weliever, with whom he welcomed two daughters, Alexis and Emma.

Eric enjoyed fishing and camping with family. He also took pleasure in racing activities and was involved in various raceways around the state. Eric was truly a craftsman of his trade.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Amy Steinmark and daughters, Alexis and Emma, of Kearney; son, Drew Danielson, of Bellevue, NE; mother, Ginger Axtell and husband Don, of Odessa, NE; father, Gary Steinmark, of Kearney; sister, Shelli Krotz and husband John, of Kearney, and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. He is preceded in death by his grandparents and brother, Alex Steinmark. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the family for future designation.

Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 PM on Sunday, July 22nd, at the O’Brien Straatmann Redinger Funeral Home in Kearney (4115 Avenue N). A memorial service will be held in his honor at 10:30 AM on Monday, July 23rd, at the Kearney Evangelical Free Church (410 Seventh Avenue). Reverend Jim Wilson will officiate.
