Obituary for Ernest “Ernie” Wayne Fowler Heading: Ernest “Ernie” Wayne Fowler Dateline: Duncan Ernest “Ernie” Wayne Fowler, 71, of Duncan, SC passed away on Sunday, June 10, 2018 at Spartanburg Regional Healthcare Center. His family includes his beloved wife, Wanda Lawson Fowler; his son, Layne; his daughter-in-law, Missy; and his grandchildren, Will, Colton and Samantha. He was predeceased by a son, Ernest Forrest Fowler.

He was a son of the late Lavada Bragg and Theron Fowler. Additional survivors include his sisters, Barbara Burrell (Bob) and Frankie Pustaver (Rick); sister-in-law, Rona L. Burnett (Wayne); brother-in-law, Ernest Lawson (Judy); and he also cared deeply for his beloved nieces and nephews. He was also predeceased by his brother, Kenneth Fowler (Sue).

He is a graduate of JF Byrnes High School, Class of 1967. He was the owner of Fowler Drywall. He was a generous supporter of JF Byrnes Basketball and the District Five Youth Sports.

Ernie was passionate for his grandchildren and devoted to his family. He was known for his generosity, love of nature, wit, working with his hands, reading, sports, and spending time with family and friends. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at Lyman United Methodist Church, conducted by Rev.

Brian Gilmer. Burial will follow in Wood Memorial Park. Visitation will be held 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at The Wood Mortuary.
