Ernest T. Hipsher, 92, Logansport, formerly of New Mexico, passed away Monday, March 4, 2019 at Woodbridge Health Campus in Logansport. He was born on November 11, 1926 in Logansport, to the late Ernest C. and Opal (Parker) Hipsher. On September 28, 1958 in Logansport he married Eva Wills who preceded in death in August of 2014.

While living in New Mexico, Ernest worked as a mechanic at Maaco. He was a 1944 graduate of Logansport High School. Shortly after high school Ernest joined the United States Army Air Force and served in the 948th Engineers Aviation Topographical Company during WWII.

After returning from his service he attended Bradley University and learned the skills to become a watchmaker/jeweler. Ernest was a member of the Masonic Temple in Albuquerque and a life member of the V.F.W. He is survived by his sister, Sandra Hulsizer, Logansport; several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by a son, Mark Alan; brother in law, Joseph Hulsizer; nephew Daryl Deitrich; and a great nephew, Adam Deitrich. Burial will take place in St. John’s Cemetery at a later date.
