Obituary for Ernestina G. Salinas Ernestina G Salinas, 90, passed away on June 5th, 2018, at Vista Medical East, Waukegan, IL. Ernestina was born on November 6th, 1927, in Los Herreras, NL, Mexico. She spent her early years helping her family by working in The Rio Grande Valley in Texas.

She was a strong woman, with much love in her heart for her family, and she would help anyone who needed it. In January of 1954 she married the love of her life Concepcion R Salinas in Edinburg, Texas. She is survived by her son, Raul (Paula) Salinas; her daughters, Rosalinda Torres, Sandra Conrad, Yolanda Salinas; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Also surviving her are her sisters, Herminia Gonzalez and Laura (Florencio) Cantu. She was preceded in death by her parents, Augustin Gonzalez, Gregoria Salinas, her brother Fernando Gonzalez and her sister Emma Gonzalez. Funeral service will be 5:00 PM on Sunday, June 10, 2018 at PETERSON & PATCH FUNERAL HOME 408 N. Sheridan Rd.

Waukegan. Interment will be at Hillcrest Cemetery in Edinburg, Texas. Visitation will be from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the funeral home.
