Obituary for Louise Ann Sanders Louise Sanders, daughter of Steven Caldwell Sr. and Melodie Eskew, was born on September 17, 1974, in Bloomington, Il. From a young child, Louise had a profound interest in making a difference in the lives of others which motivated her to pursue a career in teaching. Louise grew up in Jefferson Park Chicago and attended Von Steuben Math and Science Academy.
She subsequently matriculated to Lincoln Land Community College in Springfield, Il and ultimately graduated with a degree in education from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Dedicated to excellence, she continued her academic pursuits and received a master’s degree in educational leadership from Concordia University Chicago in River Forest, IL. Louise spent 22 years in the educational field.
The majority of her classroom experience occurred with District 187. Of these, three were spent as a principal. Louise had an effervescent personality and a bright smile which made everyone in the room a better person.
If she sensed someone had a bad day, one joke from her could lift a person’s spirits and turn a frown into a smile. Family and friends admired her strength, determination, and independence. Louise wasn’t afraid to roll up her sleeves and take charge.
Her strong leadership skills encouraged friends and loved ones to lean on her for support during challenging times. Louise encouraged everyone to dream big, strive for excellence, and to believe that yes, “you are enough”! She instilled in those around her the importance of writing “your” own story, and not allowing others to determine YOUR outcome.
Louise’s life became even brighter when she met the love of her life, Terrence Sanders. After a five- year courtship, the two married at The Sign Of The Dove Church on June 23, 2006. Four children were born as a result of this union.
The Sign Of The Dove Church has been an integral part of the Sanders household. Louise was baptized there, the children were dedicated there, and the family formed many loving and lasting relationships. The Church has remained a steadfast support system for the family throughout the years.
Louise leaves to cherish her husband, Terrence Sanders, three children, Maia, age 15, Malia, age 8, and Macee, age 5. McKenna, their second child, is with her in heaven. In addition, the following family members mourn her passing: her father, Steven Caldwell Sr., her mother, Melodie Eskew, her mother in law, Mrs. Ophal (Fountain) Dixon, siblings, Angelique Wall, Steven Caldwell Jr. (CJ), Adam Wall, William Travis Caldwell, Guy Wall, and Zach Caldwell, numerous, Aunts, Uncles, adored cousins, beloved nieces and nephews, numerous in-laws, friends, her squad, District 187 family, and TSOD family.
